Jacques Cavallier Belletrud

France

Jacques Cavallier Belletrud is a true child of Grasse, the world capital of perfume, where he was born into a prestigious lineage of perfumers spanning several generations. Immersed from his earliest years in fields of jasmine and Centifolia rose, he developed an extraordinary sensitivity to exceptional natural raw materials, which he elevates with luminous elegance and an olfactory signature of great fluidity. A virtuoso Master Perfumer, he was appointed in 2012 as the exclusive nose of the prestigious house of Louis Vuitton, for which he orchestrated a majestic olfactory renaissance from his creative atelier at Les Fontaines Parfumées, in the heart of his native town.

Before dedicating his art to the French malletier, he had already marked the history of world perfumery with revolutionary successes such as L'Eau d'Issey by Issey Miyake and Classique by Jean Paul Gaultier. Within Louis Vuitton he now deploys a vision of absolute, refined luxury, exploring sophisticated sillages that travel between radiant freshness and oriental depths. He is the exclusive architect of the house's spectacular collection, giving birth to essentials highly prized by connoisseurs worldwide, like the shadowy Ombre Nomade, the invigorating L'Immensité, and the exceptional Imagination, whose perfect contrast between bright citrus, Chinese black tea and ambroxan masterfully embodies contemporary masculine elegance.
