Josephine Catapano (1918-2012) was an American pioneer of perfumery and one of the first great female noses of the industry, later a mentor to Sophia Grojsman.

She created Estée Lauder Youth Dew in 1953, the spicy amber bath oil that changed American perfumery, as well as Fidji for Guy Laroche and Norell.
