Delphine Jelk

Delphine Jelk is one of the rare women to hold the title of perfumer at Guerlain, where she creates alongside master perfumer Thierry Wasser. Born in Fribourg, Switzerland, in 1977, she first studied fashion design at ESMOD in Paris, where her graduate collection paired each outfit with a fragrance, an early sign of a singular path. She trained at Firmenich and sharpened her craft at the Grasse Institute of Perfumery before devoting herself fully to fragrance creation.
At Guerlain she has signed several of the house's modern successes, from the worldwide icon La Petite Robe Noire to creations for the Aqua Allegoria collection and the haute parfumerie line L'Art & La Matière, including Santal Pao Rosa. Decorated with the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres in 2021, she brings a couturier's eye to composition, dressing the skin in scent the way a designer drapes fabric.
